Yes, you read it right! My tips for healthy natural curly or wavy hair.
I dont know about you, but I like looking like Samson
If you don't know who Samson is, here is the link:
Jokes aside, this hair type needs special attention, especially if long.
Here are a few favourite products of mine.
Organics from the US, growth and strengthening oil therapy, with argan and olive oil. It's ok, not super, was expecting better results due to the ingredients. The smell is pleasant, and if you just want to maintain your hair healthy it should do the trick. If you really want to let it grow, you will need something stronger.
The Indian supremacy in hair issues..I discovered this product in Nepal and managed to find it recently! Amazing! Amla oil. Two words, that's it!
Tigi is a super fun brand from the UK that I would love to love more, because their products are cruelty-free, smell amazing and the packaging is very original. They have a line of products for curly hair called Catwalk. This is a leave -in conditioner that does what it is supposed to do. Their curl serums and contour creams leave my curls hard as stone unfortunately.
A light weight mousse the american Organix. Amazing product, it is very light, and leaves the hair with beautifully defined curls and smelling of coconut, all wrapped in one. What more can you ask for?
The grand queen of hair care, Kerastase, doesn't really need any introduction for those hair fashionistas. If you don't know it,
just go out and search for a good hairdresser: chances are they are using and selling these products. Everything they do is amazing.
Downside is the price and the fact that their animal testing policy was unclear. I gave up using these because of that. It seems that from 2013 Kerastase and L'Oreal will be cruelty-free. Amen to that! This is the oil that I never managed to substitute. It is an oil you put on as the final step of your hair routine, before going out. ALL others I tried leave either your hair just oily, or do nothing at all. This one turns your hair ends into silk... :)
A cool contour cream form Tigi (their Foxy Curls series). The smell is AMAZING, like bubble gum! The problem is that it can leave your hair like stone. I mix a bit with water and use sparingly. It's good to give some hold when I have a performance and don't my hair flying all over the place.
